Job Title: Mental Health and Wellbeing ConsultantJob Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health and Wellbeing Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a vital role in providing psychological services to individuals with complex barriers to employment.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, offering counselling interventions, referring clients to external support services, and providing training to our staff.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of candidates with diverse disabilities and barriers to employment;
  • Provide expert counselling intervention as needed, utilising various psychological methodologies;
  • Refer clients to additional external support services to address their specific barriers;
  • Develop and implement effective evaluation plans to monitor case progression;
  • Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of our clients;
  • Design and deliver training programs to our staff on psychological services and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in psychology, accompanied by eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in counselling or eligibility to gain membership with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA);
  • Experience working within employment services is highly regarded but not essential;
  • Sound knowledge of psychology assessment and intervention strategies;
  • Exceptional communication, rapport-building skills, and engagement abilities;
  • The capacity to construct accurate and articulate case reports;
  • A proven ability to drive positive outcomes for our clients;
  • The ability to obtain a Police Clearance and Work with Children's Check.
