We are seeking an exceptional Mental Health Support Worker to join our multidisciplinary team.

About the Position

The successful candidate will provide high-quality support working with external care teams and families. They will work collaboratively to develop individualized plans, supporting participants in achieving their mental health and wellbeing goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing person-centred support with daily living skills and community activities to meet individual needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Facilitating community inclusion and participation, supporting individuals to establish and maintain relationships and interests.
  • Collaborating with clinical teams to deliver comprehensive care plans, prioritizing participant safety and well-being.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Qualification in disability, mental health or related field (desirable).
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and de-escalate crises.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to write clear case notes.
  • Sound emotional intelligence, empathy and reflective listening skills.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance obtained from relevant authorities.
