Cultural Practice Advisor Role
  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate positive family connection and reunification through knowledge of community and cultural protocols.
    • Support transition-from-care plans and referrals to culturally specific services.
  • Culture and Community Connection:
    • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to establish and strengthen safety and support networks.
    • Support connection to extended family, community, country, and culture.
  • Cultural Leadership and Advice:
    • Offer high-quality cultural advice and direction to inform decisions about child safety.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to deliver well-planned, culturally appropriate family support services.
  • Continuous Learning and Development:
    • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, training, and professional development.
    • Apply evidence-based practice frameworks, such as the Strengthening Families Protecting Children Framework.
