Cultural Practice Advisor Role- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, carers, and service providers to address cultural needs and achieve case plan goals.
- Casework Supports:
- Provide high-quality, individualized casework supports for children and families subject to tertiary child protection intervention.
- Facilitate positive family connection and reunification through knowledge of community and cultural protocols.
- Support transition-from-care plans and referrals to culturally specific services.
- Culture and Community Connection:
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to establish and strengthen safety and support networks.
- Support connection to extended family, community, country, and culture.
- Cultural Leadership and Advice:
- Offer high-quality cultural advice and direction to inform decisions about child safety.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to deliver well-planned, culturally appropriate family support services.
- Continuous Learning and Development:
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, training, and professional development.
- Apply evidence-based practice frameworks, such as the Strengthening Families Protecting Children Framework.
