Culturally Sensitive Child Protection Services

As a Cultural Practice Advisor, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and service providers to support the cultural needs of children and families. This role requires a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditions and customs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage effectively with children, families, and service providers to support cultural connection and reunification.
  • Provide high-quality casework supports to children and families subject to tertiary child protection intervention.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to establish and strengthen safety and support networks.
  • Provide cultural advice and direction to inform decisions about child safety.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
