
Driving Growth as a Strategic Commercial Leader

The Strategic Commercial Leader will lead the strategic direction of the unit, collaborating with internal cross-functional business partners and external alliance partners to meet objectives aligned with our overall commercial strategy. This role contributes to delivering Ferring's vision of being a leader in specialty areas within gastroenterology and urology.
- Achieve revenue, profit, and market share targets through creative marketing, sales, pricing, and public affairs strategies.
- Effectively monitor information on market development and analyze product performance and competitiveness.
- Foster collaboration and synergy across commercial, scientific, medical, and finance functions.
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with key accounts, decision makers, and stakeholders.
- Work with leadership and HR to attract, retain, and develop talented individuals.
- Identify opportunities for line extensions, product differentiators, and potential acquisitions.
- Coordinate PR, Symposia, conferences, and Life Cycle Management strategies.
This role represents the Business Unit and Australia organization in regional and global initiatives and project teams. The successful candidate will support and manage external alliance/business partners to deliver key financial and commercial objectives.
RequirementsKey requirements include:
- Demonstrated track record in developing and executing strategic marketing and sales plans.
- Knowledge of the Australian healthcare environment, particularly customer groups and political influences within therapy areas.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills that influence a positive working environment.
- Previous people management experience and cross-functional leadership experience are advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including active listening and negotiation expertise.
- Fluent English language proficiency (if not first language).
- Demonstrated analytical skills and experience managing budgets and sales forecasts.
- Eligibility to reside and work in Australia and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
