About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Careers Advisor to join our team at Qantas. As an Early Careers Advisor, you will play a key role in attracting, developing, and retaining a pipeline of early careers talent, with a particular focus on our Graduate Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Delivery of the Graduate Program: Develop and implement a comprehensive Graduate Program that includes meaningful rotations aligned to specific career paths and various initiatives designed to fast-track the development of Qantas' future leaders.
  • Graduate Recruitment and Engagement: Plan and coordinate cyclical graduate events across two years of the program, focused on development, engagement, mentoring, and coaching, and building organisational awareness.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with secondary school and university partners, developing a plan to attend key careers and networking events to raise Qantas' profile as an employer of choice amongst student communities.
  • Graduate Support and Coaching: Act as the key point of contact for Graduates and Rotation Managers, including regular catch-ups and coaching.
  • Program Evaluation and Improvement: Continuously assess and improve our early careers initiatives, bringing creative ideas and ensuring that the program contributes to our broad Organisational Development (OD) strategy.
Requirements
  • Business Acumen: Proven experience in managing projects and programs, from inception through to delivery.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to effectively initiate relationships and build rapport at all levels of leadership.
  • Talent Management: Knowledge of generalist human resources disciplines, including experience in talent acquisition, coupled with a genuine interest in talent management and inclusion and diversity.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Presentation and Facilitation: Solid presentation and facilitation skills with sufficient knowledge and experience to autonomously facilitate a campaign recruitment process.
  • Graduate Program Experience: Ideally previous experience with Graduates and the Graduate Program.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or related field.
