Our Branch Team Leader will play a key role in shaping the future of library services in Maribyrnong. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team that delivers exceptional experiences sparking learning, creativity, and connection.

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Tertiary qualifications (or working toward) in librarianship, information management or a related field, with eligibility for ALIA associate membership.
  • Proven experience leading, motivating, and coaching a team in a busy customer service environment.
  • A talent for building partnerships and working collaboratively with Council, co-located services, and the wider community.
  • Confidence with collections, digital tools, and online resources to provide outstanding information services and reader support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
