Relationships Counsellor Job Description

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to support clients in navigating complex relationships and personal issues.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs focused on promoting healthy relationships and positive communication skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe and inclusive environment for all clients, respecting individual differences and needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality protocols at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Counselling or a related field (minimum Diploma level).
  • Membership with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or as an accredited PACFA Registrant with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing counselling services, including therapeutic modalities relevant to working with individuals and groups.
  • Strong understanding of legislative, ethical, and practice requirements, including confidentiality, anti-discrimination, and mandatory reporting.
  • Knowledge of NDIS policies and procedures.
