Job Summary:

As a WHS professional, you will be responsible for managing the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) program on Hamilton Island. Your key objective will be to drive continuous safety improvement and enhance WHS performance across the organization.

About This Role:

  • You will oversee the implementation and management of the WHS program, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop and deliver training resources to promote best practice and compliance among employees and leaders.
  • Manage incident response, investigations, and risk management to minimize exposure to legal and reputational risks.
  • Provide expert WHS advice and support to stakeholders within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety is essential.
  • At least 5 years of experience in WHS management or a similar compliance-driven role is mandatory.
  • A driver's license is required.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, particularly with Government Authorities such as the WHSQ, is desirable.
  • Skills in developing and implementing audit and governance processes are also highly valued.
