About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Freghete, a renowned Italian restaurant in Broadbeach Waters, QLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including soups, meats, gravies, vegetables, desserts, salads, and more.
  • Train new staff members on preparation, cooking procedures, and plating techniques.
  • Manage suppliers for stock ordering and returns, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with restaurant managers to create new menus and drive culinary innovation.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations, maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.
  • Assist other chefs and cooks with meat and fish preparations, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Rotate and label stock in fridges and freezers, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Support the Head Chef with food orders, returns, and menu planning, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and assist cooks and chefs with cooking procedures and presentations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
About You
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Chef, with a strong background in Italian cuisine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work unsupervised and manage your section effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, with a passion for creating delicious and authentic dishes.
What We Offer
