About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at NRMA Parks and Resorts. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of our fully licensed onsite resort bistro.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective service
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage stock control, and maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience for our guests
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to achieve sales targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Qualification in commercial cookery or applicable trade testing
  • Previous experience in a similar position at a restaurant, club kitchen, or café
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety principles and workplace health and safety
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
