Job Title:

A Quality and Safety Specialist - Engineering Investigator is responsible for conducting daily quality and safety event reviews and investigating operational occurrences involving engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and process daily engineering events, coordinating with fleet engineering teams to address deficiencies or unserviceabilities.
  • Investigate maintenance errors/escapes resulting from external aircraft maintenance organizations carrying out work on behalf of Virgin Australia.
  • Respond to ATSB requests for further information regarding engineering events.
  • Contribute to independent audit programs of external AMOs.
Requirements:
  • Hold LAME/AME qualifications and relevant experience.
  • Possess lead auditor qualification and experience (ISO 9001 or IOSA Lead Auditor).
  • Be qualified as an aviation investigator.
  • Have knowledge of Part 42/145 regulations.
