Position: Full Time - Residential Care Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist participants with high physical needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Provide personal care to individuals with disabilities.
  • Ensure all documentation and reports are maintained to required standards.
  • Execute assigned tasks aimed at meeting clients' personal needs and program objectives.
  • Fulfill designated duties as requested by management, including working across various client groups.
  • Engage in regular team meetings to enhance collaboration.
  • Carry out responsibilities in a respectful and adaptable manner.
  • Adhere to communication and reporting practices as outlined by the service.
  • Respond to crises according to established guidelines and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of individual program plans.
  • Build strong working relationships with team members and provide support as needed.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and performance.
  • Establish networks with community organizations to stay informed about local initiatives.
  • Work under general guidance from participants and their families, adhering to defined protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Diploma or higher qualification in health and wellbeing.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience in a similar role.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proactive and passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

All candidates must have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation certificate.
