We are committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through culturally informed support and services. Our mobile service aims to reduce domestic and family violence (DFV) in these communities.

Role Overview

This role involves providing essential support and services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, children, and young people affected by domestic and family violence. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of respectful, client-focused, and culturally sensitive support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement client-focused service delivery goals.
  • Manage case intake, case management, referrals, documentation, and follow-up for clients, ensuring all processes are secure and respectful.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with other agencies to enhance service provision.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to the development of program policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with all legislative requirements.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Hold an unrestricted Queensland Driver's License and reliable personal transport.
  • Current holder of a Commission for Children & Young People Blue Card.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Relevant qualifications in Community Services or related fields, or currently undertaking such qualifications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, particularly in contexts of domestic and family violence.
