We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our primary care team. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare services to our community.

The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to our patients, focusing on prevention, early intervention, and continuity of care. This role involves diagnosing and managing a broad range of health conditions, referring patients to specialists as needed, and contributing to the overall wellbeing of patients through culturally sensitive and holistic care.

Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic health conditions using evidence-based practice.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care with a focus on prevention, early intervention, and continuity.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Skilled in explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans in an accessible manner.
- Relevant experience working in general practice settings, delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services.
- Competence in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and referring to specialists as needed.
- Understanding of the healthcare needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, with a willingness to undertake cultural training.
- Commitment to delivering culturally safe, respectful, and inclusive care.
We offer a competitive remuneration package, including:
• $280,000 - $300,000 plus 12% superannuation and leave loading.
• Initial 12-month, fixed-term position, with the potential for permanent, ongoing work for the right candidate.
• Clinic opening hours Monday – Saturday 7am – 7pm.
• Multiple clinic locations across West Morton and Somerset.
• Support/collaboration with onsite specialists including Paediatrics, Endocrinology, Cardiology and Psychiatry.
• Support/collaboration with onsite Allied Health including Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Diabetes Educator, Podiatry, Dietician.
• Non-Taxable Fringe Benefits salary packaging options amounting to $15,900 per annum.
• 4 Hours administrative time per week for full time employees.
• 1 hour Health Check appointments including Support from Aboriginal Health Workers and Nursing Staff.
• Uniforms Provided.
• Paid Mandatory Reporting, Disclosure, CPR and First Aid, training.
• CPD support through in house meetings, regular doctors and clinic meetings.
• Opportunities to attend community and staff events throughout the year.
