We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Policy Officer to join our People Policy team. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement HR policies and guidelines that support the AFP's employment framework and promote a harmonious and risk-aware work environment.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to AFP leaders and employees on HR-related matters, including employment legislation and AFP HR governance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and projects that support the AFP's people and employment services.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform HR policy development and implementation.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders at various levels, including the Senior Executive.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced HR professional who possesses a strong understanding of HR theory and frameworks, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will have a proven track record of developing and implementing HR policies and guidelines, and providing expert advice and guidance to leaders and employees.
You will be an Australian Citizen at the time of application, and hold a Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or be able to obtain one. You will also have relevant work experience (2 years minimum) in a HR role or HR Policy team, and a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or progress towards this outcome.
