Job Title: Senior Policy Officer - Policy Development and Implementation

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Policy Officer to support the development and implementation of policy and regulatory initiatives in line with government priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyse policy issues, identify emerging trends, and develop evidence-based solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Provide expert policy advice to Ministers for effective policy interpretation and implementation.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to support policy development and decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on policy implementation to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Mentor policy officers and staff, ensuring compliance with governance and quality standards.
  • Prepare reports, briefs, and correspondence in line with agency requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must have relevant experience in a similar Senior Policy role with a focus on grants and government policy.
  • Experience working within government is essential.
  • Proven ability to handle public and industry-specific correspondence.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
