About the Role

The Senior Policy Officer provides strategic policy and legislative advice to the NSW Policy Reform & Evidence team. This role involves complex research and analysis for policy development, coordination, implementation, and review.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify emerging issues and develop evidence-based solutions
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders for effective policy implementation
  • Develop and drive cross-cutting policy priorities through Cabinet and legislative processes
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the NSW Government and externally
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in research, analysis, and reviewing complex policy issues
  • Understanding and ability to interpret complex policy and provide advice to relevant stakeholders
  • Knowledge of the machinery of Government, including Cabinet and legislative processes
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret a wide variety of legislation and expertise in policy development, implementation, and review
