We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HR Advisor to join our dynamic team at Uniting. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive HR advice and coaching to line managers and supervisors.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert HR advice and coaching to line managers and supervisors, ensuring they receive timely guidance on legislative guidelines, HR best practice, and Uniting policies and processes.
- Supporting the business in preparing and reviewing documentation for performance management, disciplinary actions, and related processes.
- Managing HR cases from start to finish, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
- Facilitating workshops to upskill managers and improve HR knowledge within the organisation.
- Contributing to HR Centre of Excellence initiatives by providing business insights and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Developing knowledge banks and collateral for the People Portal to enhance organisational learning.
- Supporting the delivery of strategic projects, including organisational design, change management, and restructuring.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the effective design and implementation of new policies, practices, and programs.
About You
You will be a seasoned HR professional with at least 3 years of experience, skilled at providing clear, sound advice to business stakeholders. Your ability to interpret legislation, policies, and processes will enable you to navigate complex situations with confidence. Strong communication skills, combined with a service-oriented mindset, will allow you to build relationships and influence outcomes, even in a large, diverse organisation.
Qualifications and Experience
You will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in providing HR advice and influencing decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of generalist HR best practice and the ability to apply relevant legislation and organisational policies.
- Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in navigating complex organisations and managing through influence.
Even Better If You Have
Experience working with First Nations peoples and experience in the Not-For-Profit sector would be highly valued.
