Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Located in the heart of Sydney's premier sports and entertainment precinct, our hotel offers a dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and development.


Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in the supervision of kitchen chefs, cooks and stewarding staff.
  • Manage food preparation and production to deliver innovative and inspired dishes that exceed guest expectations.
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene are practiced and maintained to meet Health & Safety regulations and HACCP food preparation guidelines.
  • Drive training, growth and development of kitchen Team Members, demonstrating consistent leadership during service periods.
  • Work with senior chefs and restaurant leads to design menus for special offerings, capturing both in-house and local community demand.

Requirements
  • A highly experienced Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef with a proven track record in a hotel setting.
  • A confident leader who can adapt to situations and work across any section when required.
  • Creative and passionate about elevating the guest dining experience.
  • Hold relevant trade and food safety qualifications.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of food trends, HACCP standards and procedures.
  • Be able to work on a rotating roster that includes weekends and public holidays.
  • Hold full work rights in Australia.
