Library Support Professional

\

This is a full-time position at our West Ryde Library.

\

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to the diverse community that uses our library. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to effectively assist customers with various queries and requests.

\

The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills, allowing them to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

\

Experience in working independently as well as part of a team is highly valued. In addition, we are looking for an individual who is flexible and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.

\

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice on books, media, and other resources\
  • Assisting customers with technology and other services\
  • Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons\
  • Participating in children's activities and programs\
  • Developing and implementing engaging library displays and promotional materials\
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives\
  • Providing support for events and programs within the library and wider community\
  • Staying up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the library and information industry
