About the Role:

The Maintenance Manager will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for delivering exceptional maintenance, engineering, and project management services to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the company's assets. This includes the mining processing plant, port facilities, and other critical assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy to meet company standards and objectives in a cost-effective manner.
  • Lead technical teams in problem-solving and decision-making, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Manage relationships with major contractors associated with maintenance and engineering, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
  • Coordinate and structure major maintenance outages to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Develop and maintain an asset management strategy to optimize asset performance and extend lifespan.
  • Promote a culture of health, safety, environment, and community awareness among company and contract personnel.
  • Ensure all personnel within the department possess the necessary skills and competencies to perform their roles effectively and are developed for future opportunities.

Person Profile:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a processing and mining plant, with a proven track record in a senior maintenance management role.
  • High-level understanding of maintenance delivery and planning techniques, engineering project management, business concepts, and employee relations.
  • Degree qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering and financial analysis are highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience with computer-based maintenance planning systems and preventative, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
  • Knowledgeable in relevant mining regulations and safety standards.
