Culture Heritage Management Position

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee the management of cultural heritage projects. This role offers the opportunity to utilize your expertise and satisfy your sense of adventure through exciting, consultative projects across Victoria.

  • Oversee cultural heritage projects from inception to completion, including managing project milestones and stakeholder engagement
  • Build strong relationships with Traditional Owners
  • Prepare reports such as CHMPs, CHPs, survey reports, salvage reports, and due diligence assessments
  • Supervise archaeological field surveys and excavations
  • Coordinate the repatriation of cultural heritage material
  • Mentor team members and foster industry awareness

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience delivering large-scale projects
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in Archaeology
  • Accreditation as a Heritage Advisor
  • Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology (minimum Honours level)
  • Proven ability to consult and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Expertise in cultural heritage legislation, including the Aboriginal Heritage Act 2006 and Heritage Act 2017
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • GIS experience is highly desirable
