Job Title: Account Manager, Strategic Accounts

At Cardinal Health, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our defined products and services to Distributor and wholesaler partners and in Day Hospitals segments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets while maintaining a professional image in the marketplace.
  • Provide education to distributors and healthcare professionals as required to ensure correct use of Cardinal Health Products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and non-clinical stakeholders.
  • Gather and share market intelligence to inform sales strategies.
  • Strive to understand customer needs and provide mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure the highest level of Cardinal Health product and technical knowledge is attained and maintained.
  • Have a thorough understanding of competitive products and features.
  • Actively seek to develop and expand on territory management and selling skills.
  • Ensure customer contacts, activities, opportunities, risk, and business maintenance are updated in SFDC.
  • Provide forecast to marketing for new business.
  • Attend third-party and company-sponsored meetings as required.
  • Provide sales reports and other information as required.
Requirements:
  • Preferred: relevant undergraduate degree plus additional industry qualifications.
  • Minimum: Technical/Clinical or nursing diploma level.
  • Entry-level for experience: 3+ years of sales experience preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Proven track record in professional sales, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
  • Commercial sales competencies including strategic and territory planning, negotiation skills, and solutions selling.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the public and private hospital markets.
  • Preferably a Nursing/Clinical background with experience working within hospitals or allied health.
  • Demonstrate behaviors in accordance with Cardinal Health values.
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment as well as autonomously.
  • Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software, salesforce.com or similar CRM system.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the relevant healthcare system.
  • Current valid driver's license.
  • Travel requirement: 10-30%.
