About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Finance Partner to join our Northern Operations team in Darwin. This key role will play a vital part in delivering management reporting for Northern Operations & Flight Operations, ensuring financial data integrity and driving improved financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare standardised monthly financial reports, annual budgets, forecasting and scenario analysis for senior management
  • Review monthly financial performance against key contracts and provide timely commentary on emerging trends and key performance drivers
  • Highlight potential risks and opportunities well in advance and quantify them
  • Prepare required monthly journals, including accruals for Northern Operations & Flight Operations
  • Timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are dealt with appropriately
  • Provide financial support for day-to-day business operations, investigation, analysis and ad hoc reporting as required
  • Perform ad hoc analysis of proposals and business cases and their financial viability
  • Oversee the raising of customer invoices for key revenue contracts in Northern Operations
  • Partner with stakeholders to provide value-added support and guidance
  • Assist in the external audit process, liaising with auditors and providing clear and accurate support/analysis

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years postgraduate experience in business planning and commercial analysis in mid to large organisations, preferably in operations
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting
  • CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in similar roles with strong commercial acumen, analytical and business partnering skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced excel and system skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication tailored to the audience
  • Ability to prioritise and plan workload and be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Proficient with Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels (internal and external) and influence stakeholders
  • Strong customer service mindset with a team player mentality
  • High degree of professional integrity, proactive with 'can-do' attitude, demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
