Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our Business Advisory team in Darwin. In this role, you will handle a range of accounting tasks including producing financial reports, preparing management accounts and preparing BAS and tax returns for various entities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing and maintaining financial reports using Xero, MYOB and Reckon software
  • Preparing tax returns, FBT and financial statements for different business entity types
  • Preparing BAS and IAS returns
  • Calculating and reconciling payroll tax
  • Preparing management accounts, cash flow forecasts and KPIs for clients
  • Assisting with the development of junior colleagues

This role is both challenging and rewarding, allowing you to progress into the next phase of your career with solid training, support and technical exposure.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate established accounting experience, with a relevant tertiary qualification and studying or aspiring to achieve CA or CPA qualifications.

You'll have experience preparing tax returns for various entities for small to medium size businesses and the ability to generate financial statements and management reports.

The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail, being proactive and personable.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is around $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
