Job Description

The Operations Safety Specialist will be responsible for delivering and contributing to the site's safety management plans and key objectives. The role will involve working with the site leadership team and Division SHS Team to execute strategic and operational plans and drive behavioural safety change across the business.

The successful candidate will have experience in leading on an operational SHS environment, incident cause analysis method (ICAM) and implementation and management of safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist site personnel in developing site-specific risk assessments, operational procedures and work instructions.
  • Develop and review site inductions respecting both Qube and owner requirements.
  • Liaise with third-party site representatives and regulatory bodies for investigations, joint risk assessments and communications.
  • Drive established SHS consultation and communication processes.
  • Provide site leadership and assistance in developing a safety culture and environment.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in OHS/WHS.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in leading on an operational SHS environment.
  • Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM).
  • Experience in implementing and managing safety management systems.

Salary Range

$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
