Job Opportunity: Full-Time Finance Manager

We are seeking a full-time Finance Manager based in Central Queensland, QLD. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for developing a continuous improvement financial management strategy to support our goals and operational standards.

This role involves:

  • Preparing and monitoring budgets for funding agreements
  • Managing supplier payments and ensuring staff wages are paid on time
  • Overseeing compliance activities related to finance and audit processes
  • Coordinating external audits and preparing annual financial statements
  • Developing and optimising financial policies, procedures, and reports
  • Supporting the finance team's growth and providing expert financial advice
  • Managing employment tax and salary packaging requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and Human Services Quality Standards
About You

To qualify, you will need tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or Finance, a minimum of five years of accounting experience, and a current C-Class Queensland Driver's Licence. A valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is also essential.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong working knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, electronic banking, BAS, and payroll
  • Proficient financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing priorities effectively
  • Ability to use computer-based accounting systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
