This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the IT operations at AGL Energy. As a Strategic Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems, providing leadership to the Technology business area, and working closely with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the IT operations team, driving efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of IT services.
  • Work closely with the CIO to develop and implement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of the Technology business operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing change initiatives as needed.
  • Support the development of operational dashboards to provide valuable insights into the performance of the IT function.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in IT operations, leadership experience, and a proven track record of delivering results. You will also need excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and bring people on board.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in IT operations, with a focus on leadership and strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
