About the Role

The Opportunity
As a Product Innovation Strategist - Energy Market Expert, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering market-leading product strategies that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative products and propositions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Developing long-term product strategies and visions that align with AGL's business objectives;
  • Creating innovative and sustainable business models for new products and ventures, ensuring alignment with market needs and Customer Markets objectives;
  • Ensuring product and proposition managers have access to timely, high-quality customer data, user feedback, and competitor and market analysis to inform product and proposition development and optimisation;
  • Supporting the successful delivery of initiatives that require collaboration across multiple product and proposition managers, ensuring ongoing alignment and consideration of wider commercial and business implications;
  • Conducting financial analysis to assess the viability and profitability of product strategies and recommending adjustments as well as identifying and assessing potential risks associated with product strategies, developing mitigation plans to ensure successful execution.


About You

You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, with experience in product strategy roles and proven leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and inspire a culture of innovation;
  • Strong analytical skills for comprehensive market analysis, identifying trends, and evaluating opportunities and ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable product strategies;
  • Solid understanding of financial analysis, including cost modeling and revenue projections, and proficiency in developing innovative and financially sound business models for new products and ventures;
  • Demonstrated success in bringing new products or ventures to market with a focus on business growth and in-depth knowledge of the industry, staying abreast of market trends;
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The estimated salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
