About the Role

As a key member of our Product & Commercial Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving market-leading product innovation and strategy for AGL Energy. As Senior Manager, Core Product (Chapter Lead), your primary responsibility will be to lead a team responsible for designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge propositions and products that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing a long-term product strategy and vision for AGL Energy, including creating and maintaining a product roadmap with key milestones and decision points.
  • Creating innovative and sustainable business models for new products and ventures, ensuring alignment with market needs and customer objectives.
  • Ensuring product and proposition managers have access to timely, high-quality customer data, user feedback, and competitor analysis to inform product development and optimisation.
  • Supporting the successful delivery of initiatives requiring collaboration across multiple product and proposition managers, ensuring ongoing alignment and consideration of wider commercial implications.
  • Conducting financial analysis to assess the viability and profitability of product strategies and recommending adjustments, as well as identifying and assessing potential risks associated with product strategies, developing mitigation plans to ensure successful execution.
About You

We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in product strategy roles and a solid understanding of financial analysis, including cost modeling and revenue projections. Your ability to think strategically, translate insights into actionable product strategies, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders is essential for success in this role.
