Reservation Agent

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Reservations Agent. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and able to learn quickly, making them a valuable asset in ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing FIT bookings by handling individual reservations, providing excellent customer service, and assisting guests with booking queries via phone and email.

In addition, they will handle group bookings from initial inquiries to final confirmations, coordinating with various departments to meet specific requirements such as room blocks, event spaces, and special requests.

The Reservations Agent will also assist with inbound reservations, including creating new group bookings and responding to travel agents' enquiries regarding inbound groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process FIT bookings by handling individual reservations, providing excellent customer service, and assisting guests with booking queries via phone and email.
  • Handle group bookings from initial inquiries to final confirmations, coordinating with various departments to meet specific requirements such as room blocks, event spaces, and special requests.
  • Assist with inbound reservations, including creating new group bookings and responding to travel agents' enquiries regarding inbound groups.
  • Provide high-level service to both group and individual guests, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the booking process.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a reservations role, preferably in the hotel industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with reservation systems and software, experience with Opera is advantageous.

It is essential to be open to expanding knowledge across all reservation categories (groups, FIT, inbound) to provide overall team support during high-demand periods.
