We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our team as a Front Desk Associate at YHA Sydney Central. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys providing exceptional customer service and is passionate about working in the hospitality industry.

As a Front Desk Associate, you will be responsible for fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, responding to guest inquiries with knowledgeable local advice and recommendations, managing efficient check-ins and check-outs, and offering vital information to ensure a pleasant stay. Additionally, you will resolve any guest concerns or disputes, escalating them to the appropriate management when necessary.

About the role:

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments.
  • Guest Services: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve guest concerns and disputes in a fair and professional manner.

About You:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in front desk reception, customer service, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Skillset: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work well under pressure, and flexibility to work a 24/7 roster including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Australian Working Rights: Full Australian working rights with no restrictions.
