About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Darebin City Council team as a Customer and Operations Management Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Darebin Operations & Waste and Natural & Civic Spaces Departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update, maintain, and enter data into various databases, including work orders, customer requests, work scheduling, and purchase orders.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data related to Darebin Operations & Waste and Natural & Civic Spaces Departments.
  • Actively promote a positive workplace culture by enhancing the department's approach to excellent customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Darebin Operations & Waste and Natural & Civic Spaces Departments.
  • Answer telephone inquiries and direct calls as necessary.
  • Maintain department workflows in the Council's systems, including asset management, property and rates, finance, and email systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate staff meetings, including booking venues and arranging necessary equipment.
  • Handle the procurement of office supplies, raise purchase orders, and manage petty cash systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all office equipment and address any operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain and update content on the internet and intranet sites.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in and/or providing administrative support within a team environment.
  • Experience in an operational support environment.
  • Experience with asset management systems (Pathway & Infor/CAMS/Hanson 8) would be an advantage.
  • A current Working with Children Card.
  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
