The role of Account Manager is a key position within our organisation, requiring strong relationship-building skills and the ability to analyse sales data to inform business decisions.
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our Independent Optometry customers, protecting our core business, growing our market share, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing growth strategies for practices
- Upskilling practice staff on the benefits of our products
- Working closely with our Customer Service teams to ensure a high level of service and support
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A vehicle and current driver's license
- Experience working with practice staff, either in a B2B sales role or working in a practice
- Ability to analyse sales data and convert to actionable insights
- 3+ years in optical sales (lens, customer service, lab or retail)
- Above average Excel and Microsoft suite skills
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Excellent business acumen, understanding of pricing strategy and margins
- Ability to train and upskill product knowledge to groups and individuals
While the following criteria are desirable, training will be provided for the right candidate:
- Qualifications and/or experience in Optical Dispensing will be highly regarded
- Prior experience in using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and sales reporting software
- Demonstrated ability to prospect and convert new business opportunities
- Experience as an Account Manager
