About the role:

  • Identify and generate new commercial sales leads through proactive efforts including cold calling, networking, and research
  • Work with the General Manager to manage sales opportunities through the full sales funnel—from initial contact to closing
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of events, including scheduling, budgeting, logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site management
  • Host site visits for prospective clients, offering venue walkthroughs and providing tailored proposals that highlight the venue's unique features and event capabilities
  • Ensure every event is delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction, acting as the point of contact for clients, vendors, and staff throughout the process
  • Develop and manage detailed event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring all third-party services meet event requirements

About you:

  • At least 12 months in event marketing coordination and sales, or a related field
  • Must have a current/valid QLD RSA Certificate
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and clients to achieve the best outcomes for the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and colleagues at all levels
  • A genuine passion for both sales and event planning, with an enthusiasm for delivering exceptional client experiences and driving business growth
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required based on event schedules
  • On-site presence required for event setup and execution
