We are seeking a key professional to fill the role of Maintenance Planning and Reliability Manager at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) mine complex. This operation consists of two open-cut mine sites producing premium low-volatility pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.
The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance planning, reliability, and engineering to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance planning to optimize equipment availability and reliability.
- Ensuring work management processes meet company standards and legislative requirements.
- Coordinate shutdown planning to achieve production, cost, and safety objectives.
- Developing and implementing reliability improvement strategies for mobile and fixed assets.
- Overseeing defect elimination, root cause analysis, and condition monitoring programs.
- Reducing unplanned downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment failures.
- Audits, inspections, and reporting requirements related to maintenance and asset integrity.
- Stakeholder communication to ensure alignment.
- Risk identification and management to minimize operational impact.
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering, or equivalent trade background with significant maintenance experience.
- Experience in open-cut mining and plant environments.
- Minimum 8–10 years' experience in maintenance, planning, or reliability roles, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland mining legislation, asset management frameworks, and maintenance strategies.
- SAP proficiency and reliability analysis tools.
- Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Safety-focused approach.
- Managing teams, stakeholders, and contractors in high-pressure situations.
