Job Title: Maintenance Planning Leader

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planning Leader to oversee maintenance planning and ensure safe, efficient operation of mine equipment.

This role is responsible for ensuring work management processes align with company standards and legislation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing short, medium, and long-term maintenance plans to optimize equipment availability and reliability.
  • Ensuring shutdown planning meets production, cost, and safety objectives.
  • Leading the development and implementation of reliability improvement strategies for mobile and fixed assets.
  • Overseeing defect elimination, root cause analysis, and condition monitoring programs.
  • Driving initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment failures.
  • Supporting audits, inspections, and reporting requirements related to maintenance and asset integrity.
  • Communicating with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering, or equivalent trade background with significant maintenance planning/reliability leadership experience.
  • Significant experience in open cut mining and plant environments.
  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in maintenance, planning, or reliability roles, ideally within the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland mining legislation, asset management frameworks, and maintenance strategies.
  • Proficiency in SAP and reliability analysis tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
