Job Title: Maintenance Planning Superintendent

• We are seeking an experienced maintenance planning superintendent to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.\
• This critical role is responsible for maintenance planning, reliability, and engineering to ensure optimal equipment availability and reliability.\
• The successful candidate will have a strong background in open cut mining and plant environments with experience in maintenance, planning, or reliability roles.\
• A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering, or equivalent trade background, is required.\
• The candidate will be proficient in SAP and reliability analysis tools and possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\
• A safety-focused approach with a practical, hands-on attitude is essential.\
• The ideal candidate will be able to manage teams, stakeholders, and contractor relationships in high-pressure environments.\
• They will also be able to identify and manage risks to minimize impact on operations and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with site values and legislative requirements.\
• The role involves overseeing short, medium, and long-term maintenance planning to optimize equipment availability and reliability.\
• Ensuring work management processes are executed in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.\
• Coordinate shutdown planning to meet production, cost, and safety objectives.\
• Lead the development and implementation of reliability improvement strategies for mobile and fixed assets.\
• Oversee defect elimination, root cause analysis, and condition monitoring programs.\
• Drive initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment failures.\
• Support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements relating to maintenance and asset integrity.\
• Communicate with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment.\
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with site values and legislative requirements.\
• To be successful in this role, you will need:\

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering, or equivalent trade background with significant maintenance planning/reliability leadership experience.\
  • Wealth of experience in open cut mining and plant environments.\
  • Minimum 8–10 years' experience in maintenance, planning, or reliability roles, ideally within the mining or heavy industry sector.\
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland mining legislation, asset management frameworks, and maintenance strategies.\
  • Proficiency in SAP and reliability analysis tools.\
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.\
  • Safety-focused with a practical, hands-on approach.\
