We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Glencore's McArthur River Mine in the Northern Territory. This is an exciting opportunity to work on industrial control systems and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our mine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for our operational technology systems, including communications, fleet management, water monitoring, and fatigue monitoring.
  • Diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of radio communication networks.
  • Installation and maintenance of fleet management technologies.
  • Routine inspections of machinery and fixed plants, implementing preventive measures and generating condition reports.
  • Installation and maintenance of instrumentation, including flow meters, level transducers, and pressure sensors.
  • Troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing VHF infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on experience with power and hand tools, strong ability to scope, implement, and troubleshoot operational technologies.
  • Trade certification or a Certificate III in communications, electrical, auto-electrical, instrumentation & control, radio, or electronics.
  • At least 3 years of experience in mining systems, industrial control systems, electrical, instrumentation, electronics, or communications.
  • Experience working with extra low voltage (ELV) DC systems in automotive, solar, and instrumentation applications.
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking.
