Looking to take your mechanical expertise to new heights? A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established and locally owned mechanical services provider in the Gove Peninsula, East Arnhem Land.

This site-based role is based at a workshop on a major mining site. As a Heavy Duty Mining Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining Caterpillar mining equipment to ensure optimal performance. Your strong diagnostic capabilities and ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently and effectively will be highly valued in this fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduled Servicing & Repairs: Maintain Caterpillar mining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Air-Conditioning Repairs: Maintain and repair air-conditioning systems to ensure operational comfort.
  • Breakdown Response: Deliver swift solutions to minimize downtime and keep operations on track.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate with at least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Automotive Air-Conditioning License.
  • Valid Drivers License.
