Rydges Camperdown - Front Office Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front Office Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front office, including managing the reception desk, handling guest complaints, and coordinating room allocations.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and guests. You will also possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, working closely with the hotel's senior management team to achieve business objectives. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the smooth operation of the front office, including managing the reception desk, handling guest complaints, and coordinating room allocations.
  • To lead and motivate the front office team, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their performance targets.
  • To develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and employee engagement.
  • To maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring that all guests receive a warm and welcoming experience.
  • To manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • To identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • To build and maintain effective relationships with other departments, including housekeeping, food and beverage, and sales.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Hospitality or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and guests.
  • Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
