Assistant Field Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Field Manager to join our dynamic team at Roy Morgan Research. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of interviewers, ensuring the successful execution of high-profile research projects, and contributing to the growth and development of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Recruit, train, and support a team of interviewers, providing ongoing guidance and coaching to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to excel in their roles.
- Project Management: Assist in managing workforce allocation, ensuring optimal interviewer coverage for each research project, and collaborating with internal teams to oversee the production and distribution of field materials.
- Operational Excellence: Develop and enhance training materials, implement training programs, and maintain regular communication with project staff, management, and other field staff to ensure well-planned and managed projects.
- Logistics and Administration: Manage field logistics and administrative tasks, including scheduling, onboarding/offboarding, training, and performance tracking.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy and suitability of survey questionnaires, sample management procedures, and workflows impacting field operations, and identify operational improvement opportunities and promptly resolve any issues or queries.
- Positive Attitude: A positive, motivating, can-do attitude is essential for success in this role.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively manage teams and communicate with stakeholders.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously, are necessary to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Collaboration: A positive and collaborative attitude, with a passion for working as part of a team, is essential for success in this role.
- Technical Skills: Competency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required, and familiarity with statistical tools and their application in research analysis is an advantage.
