About the Role


We're seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager to drive impactful revenue growth in the MICE sector. As an instrumental member of our team, you'll focus on uncovering new business opportunities and cultivating high-value relationships with MICE clients.

In this role, you'll generate premium leads and secure top-tier business for our Conference & Events spaces. Leveraging your deep understanding of the Australian landscape and existing relationships with Professional Conference Organizers (PCOs), you'll ensure Pullman & Mercure continue to thrive as industry leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development and manage key accounts within the MICE sector, with a focus on long-term growth.
  • Take a forward-thinking and innovative approach to identifying new MICE business opportunities, ensuring Pullman & Mercure stand out in the market.
  • Proactively sell Conference & Events products and services, leveraging existing third-party partnerships and PCO relationships to generate premium leads and secure high-value clients.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams to implement streamlined systems that efficiently manage sales, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of new business.
  • Maximize revenue potential by ensuring long-term returns from both new and existing accounts, consistently seeking ways to grow these relationships.
  • Partner with operational departments to create clear, effective systems that deliver exceptional customer service, driving repeat business and client loyalty.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure that all efforts align with the hotel's overarching strategies, enhancing visibility and ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
