Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria. As a valued member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective control environment and support spend governance activities.
Key Responsibilities- Quality checks and processing of payments to ensure accurate and timely payment of suppliers, members, and employee reimbursements
- Monitoring and investigating system integration and transaction exceptions in AP systems and identifying improvement opportunities
- Managing internal and external transaction queries and providing advice as well as developing and delivering educational material for AP processes
- Creation of reporting and data management to deliver visibility of spend, user behaviors, and process performance in AP systems
- Assisting with identifying, developing, planning, and implementing continuous improvement and governance initiatives for AP processes
- Contributing to Finance Control priorities through effective relationships and positive contributions within the team and the wider business
- Minimum 3 years' experience within an accounts payable/procurement/purchasing function
- Qualification in Business/Accounting and or equivalent experience (desirable)
- Understanding of financial principles and AP processes
- Understanding of SAP (legacy systems) and Concur (desirable)
- Analysis and data visualization
- Experience with AP technology and high-level computer literacy
- Priority and time management skills
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
