About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team in Melbourne, reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accounts payable functions for the Australian offices within the firm's invoice processing system.
  • Ensure all office and matter invoices are approved, coded, and loaded into the General Ledger on a daily basis.
  • Set up and maintain vendors in accordance with firm guidelines.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payment runs, including emailing remittance advices.
  • Ensure GST is appropriately coded.
  • Process all creditor invoices once authorized.
  • Perform or assist in the upload of certain vendor electronic files directly into the General Ledger.
  • Manage and process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and ensure timely payment of credit card statements.
  • Support the Finance Manager day-to-day and in accounting-related projects.
