We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team in Melbourne, reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accounts payable functions for the Australian offices within the firm's invoice processing system.
- Ensure all office and matter invoices are approved, coded, and loaded into the General Ledger on a daily basis.
- Set up and maintain vendors in accordance with firm guidelines.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payment runs, including emailing remittance advices.
- Ensure GST is appropriately coded.
- Process all creditor invoices once authorized.
- Perform or assist in the upload of certain vendor electronic files directly into the General Ledger.
- Manage and process employee expense reimbursements in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
- Reconcile corporate credit card transactions and ensure timely payment of credit card statements.
- Support the Finance Manager day-to-day and in accounting-related projects.
