Key Role in Aviation Governance at Melbourne Airport

This position plays a crucial role in shaping the safety and efficiency of Melbourne Airport's aviation environment by contributing to governance, stakeholder accountability, and performance across critical airside operations and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage access licensing for airside operations to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Oversee aviation systems such as airside driver and vehicle control management system to ensure performance, data integrity, and user experience.
  • Monitor and improve aircraft turnaround processes through data-driven insights.
  • Drive collaboration among ground handlers, airlines, and internal teams to deliver safe and efficient operations.
  • Lead reporting and analysis of operational performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage relationships with SaaS vendors and ensure systems meet current and future business needs.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in developing and leading licensing or access agreements in high-risk customer-focused environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Aviation Operations, ground handling, and turnaround activities.
  • Strong understanding of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations, ICAO Annexes, and IATA IGOM.
  • Experience in Aviation Safety Management Systems and incident investigations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills in complex operational settings.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
  • Proficiency in report writing, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement programs.
