Aviation Governance Leader

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to governance, stakeholder accountability, and performance across critical airside operations and systems, shaping the safety and efficiency of Melbourne Airport's aviation environment.

As a Senior Advisor, Aviation Governance, you will play a key role in managing access licensing for airside operations to ensure compliance standards are met. You will also oversee aviation systems, ensuring performance, data integrity, and user experience.

Additionally, you will monitor and improve aircraft turnaround processes through data-driven insights, drive stakeholder collaboration, and lead reporting and analysis of operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing access licensing for airside operations to ensure compliance standards are met
  • Overseeing aviation systems, including airside driver and vehicle control management system, to ensure performance, data integrity, and user experience
  • Monitoring and improving aircraft turnaround processes through data-driven insights
  • Driving stakeholder collaboration across ground handlers, airlines, and internal teams to deliver safe and efficient operations
  • Leading reporting and analysis of operational performance, identifying opportunities for improvement
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need proven experience in developing and leading licensing or access agreements in a high-risk, customer-focused operational environment.

You will also require in-depth knowledge of Aviation Operations, ground handling, and turnaround activities, as well as strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills within complex operational settings.

Additional requirements include analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive process improvements, proficiency in report writing, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement programs, and ICAM Lead Investigator qualification.
