About Our Team

This is a permanent, full-time role in our Funds Super & Financial Services (FSF) team in Sydney, where you will work closely with lawyers in Melbourne and across our offices. You will gain exposure to complex superannuation and financial services regulatory work while collaborating with Partners and the team.

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to assist with regulatory and transformation projects
  • You will respond to investigations and prosecutions by authorities like APRA and ASIC
  • Advising on superannuation fund mergers is also part of this role
  • Collaborating with our M&A team on financial transactions
  • Providing guidance on regulatory obligations such as licensing and disclosure
  • Negotiating commercial agreements, including outsourcing and distribution

We support our lawyers in finding their niche and developing broad expertise.

About You

You should have:

  • Experience advising superannuation or financial services clients on regulatory matters (e.g., SIS Act, APRA standards, Corporations Act, ASIC Act)
  • Private practice or in-house experience in superannuation/financial services law
  • A desire to specialize in this area
  • Strong academic record, legal analysis, writing, and communication skills
  • Motivation to learn, grow, and mentor others
