Lead Superannuation Lawyer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Legal team.

  • This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
  • This is a hybrid position that requires working at least two to three days a week in the office.

The position sits within the broader legal team and focuses on superannuation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive advice to our business on all aspects of its superannuation operations, including governance, regulatory compliance, breach reporting, member complaints, product changes, and service provider arrangements.
  • Review disclosure materials and advise on any issues that arise.
  • Liaise with other lawyers within the legal team and collaborate with external counsel for obtaining expert advice.
  • Assist with internal training and development programs.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis.
  • Review board papers and provide legal signoff as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by senior lawyers.
Requirements:
  • A law degree and qualification as a Solicitor (minimum 5 years PQE).
  • Proactive and highly organized approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Capacity to work independently and meet multiple deadlines accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to draft and edit concisely.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
